7.9 How do I mark a Job Plan as Regulatory?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

Many of the tasks that our Technicians do are governed by Regulatory issues:  either Federal, State or Local Law, or Federal, State or Local Permit.  If the Job Plan is flagged that this is Regulatory work, the task will generate with alerts showing that this work is covered by a governing body.

The Task will be marked as Regulatory in the Task Grid, Task Summary Screen, ESM Tile, Alerts Panel, Work Order Print from the green printer button and the Work Order Print from the SSRS Report (Links > Reports from the home page of the Work Module.)

Anyone with supervisor permissions or higher can change or remove the setting from either the Job Plan screen, the Task Screen header in the CLIENT, or by editing the Task Summary panel in the Work Module.

To mark a Job Plan with a regulatory field, follow these steps:

1. From the Work Module, click on the Planner Scheduler Role.

2. Click on Job Plans.

3. Click on the funnel icon to bring up the filters.  You have a number of options for ways to search for your Job Plan.

An easy way to do this if you don't know the exact Job Plan number is to choose Contains with the Description field and put part of the description in the field.  Click Apply to see the results in the grid.

4. Find the Job Plan in question.  Click on the three vertical dots at the end of the job plan and choose Edit Job Plan.

5. The regulatory fields are listed in the far right corner of the header in the Summary Panel.

6. Choose the the appropriate regulatory field.

7. Click Save.

8. Regulatory fields will be displayed in the Task Grid.

9. You can see the Regulatory fields in the Task Summary screen.

10. The Regulatory fields will be visible on work order print also.

You will also see the alerts on the ESM.
