3.10 When would I check the Event Log for a Work Order in the Work Module?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

The Event Log tracks every time the Work Order changes status.  The system will also track when a Sub-Status was changed.   One example of when you might check the Event Log at the Work Order level is to see when the WO was Completed and Reviewed (Status).  With the combination of the Sub-Status filter, you are able to see more detail as to WHY the status was applied.

Keep in mind that Status is also tracked at the Task level, and those are INDEPENDENT of Work Order Status/Sub-Status.

Events can also be found in the Work Module at the Work Order and Task level as well.  This is viewable from the last badge on the right.

By default, if you are viewing from the WO Screen, you will see both the Work Order screen, you will see both WO and Task Events.

Click on the Show/Hide Task Events hyperlink to toggle between WO only and WO+Task Events.

Task Events will have the Task ID listed in the left column, as highlighted in yellow.

If additional tasks are added to the WO, viewing the events by time (the default) is helpful.

Click on the up/down arrows to adjust the sort as needed.
