10.6 How are the Task tiles sorted for Daily Capacity in the Planner Portal?

Updated on

The default scheduling period for the Daily Capacity screen is the current week.  Remember your WEM principles.  The only work that should be breaking the daily schedule is PI work and the only work that should be breaking the weekly schedule is P2 work.  Realistically, there will be times when, because your P1 task is going to take a machine down for the day, your customer may want you to bundle other tasks for that Asset ID that can be done while that machine is down.

Therefore, P3/4/5 work can now be scheduled in the current week.  However, please keep these things in mind.

  1. All P3, P4, and P5 tasks should be planned.
  2. When P3/4/5 Tasks are assigned in the current week, they will be tagged with a  "Breaks Schedule" flag This will be used for metrics to identify P3/4/5 tasks that are assigned into the current week - as these are really schedule breakers.
  3. If the task does not get done during the current week, the flag goes away.

There are a few options to sorting and filtering the Task list in the Daily Capacity. The options will be Table Sorts (Ascending/Descending Order), Table Filters, Show/Hide Canceled and Reviewed Tasks, Show Break-In tasks only and Hide Asset ID.

SHOW BREAK IN WORK ONLY (Priority 1&2):

13. Selecting this filter will shows tasks that are deemed Break-In tasks.

Emergency work requests are defined as Priority 1 tasks that have an immediate effect due to Safety, Environmental conditions, throughput rate (amount produced) and/or Quality.

Because P1 Tasks require immediate action, they should break the DAILY SCHEDULE. Much like Emergency (Priority 1) work, Priority 2 Urgent work requests affect Safety, Environmental conditions, throughput rate and/or Quality in an urgent manner and require prompt action.

Because they are not as severe as the P1 Tasks, P2 Tasks should break the WEEKLY SCHEDULE.  Additionally, Break-in work does not have a Scheduling Period or an affected period (indicating that it has not gone through weekly scheduling.)

Since both Priority 1 & 2 work requests have the potential to impact the pre-determined schedule, it is of the utmost importance that the requests are validated by the Team Lead/Supervisor before sending a technician to the repair site or introducing these into the weekly schedule.

To make it easier to assign break-in work, there is no need to add a skillset and duration prior to assigning the Technician.

For information on this new functionality, please see this document.

HIDE ASSET ID:

14. Selecting this filter will hide the Asset ID and instead will show the Asset Description.
