7.40 How do Conditional Steps work in a Job Plan?

Updated on

The business has asked for the ability to rate something as satisfactory or unsatisfactory. These "conditional" steps can be used on any job plan, to add a ranking of Satisfactory / Unsatisfactory or Not Applicable in response to a question.

First Log into the Planner Portal and go to your Job Plan.

1. Click on Steps.

2. Enter the Step name and Text.

3. Under Condition Based for that line, click on No until you toggle through to a checkmark.  It starts at NO, then goes to an open checkbox, then a checkmark for Yes.

4. If desired, you can change the Required step to no.

We left our example as Required = Yes.

5. Click the Save button before exiting.

The next step would be to apply the job plan to the task, in this case we have applied it to Task 677973.

How the Tech will see the Conditional Steps

Once the Conditional Step is set up on the job plan, and the job plan is associated with the task, this is what it looks like in the Portal.

6. Step 4 asks you to rate the condition of the Shavings bin.

7. In this case it is a required rating.  Click on the Ratings Required.

8. A pop-up box tells you that you must enter a rating, and that if you enter N/A or unsatisfactory, you must also enter a comment.

In this case, we entered Satisfactory.

9. Once the rating (and comments if needed) are entered, the submit button becomes active.

10. The line will change from Ratings required to Satisfactory.

From here you can hit the Mark All to complete the steps.
