Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.
Basically speaking, the STAR means that the Task is "Recommended" for scheduling. The purpose of this star is to help improve communication between ATS and the Customer when deciding which tasks should be scheduled for the upcoming week(s).
Ideally, tasks should be marked with the star during the early scheduling process, before Period Capacity scheduling. Both the Customer Planner and ATS employees with the Supervisor Role have the ability to Star a task. Once a task has been starred (by anyone), it is visible to all.
By default, all tasks will be loaded without being starred. An Event is added when the star is added so that you can see the details of when it happened.
The star remains on the task as it moves through the scheduling process. To "star" a task, follow the instructions below.
1. From Navigation Pane in the Work Module click on Planner/Scheduler in eFACTORYPRO.
2. Click on Scheduling.
3. At the far right of the screen, the Stars are shown.
5. If you want to sort by the Starred items, simply click on the star in the header to bring them to the top, so you can schedule those first.
6. You also have the ability to filter by the Starred items. To see only these items, click the Recommended option in the filters and hit Apply.
8. When working in the lower panel, if this is a recommended Task, the Star will be solid, or filled in.
If the task is not recommended, the star will be hollow.
